For this weeks 100WC, we had to make up a short story with the prompt “ it was heavier than I expected”.

I decided to make it about my issue gender inequality!

“Taking the risk of doing something you love requires passion and determination, to take a risk I knew that it would be tough with the amount of weight that I was carrying on my shoulders. I would be one of those females to be doing a job for the first time.

Here comes the pressure, but I had to try. I had to try and accomplish what men have done, and if I don’t complete my task it will a challenge for other women to get out there.

It’s hard though to be one of the first women to put yourself out there.

The pressure was heavier than I expected.”

For the exhibition, my topic is gender inequality. For this weeks 100WC, we had to use the five words bicycle, yellow, desperate, warned and greedily in a story with 100 words about our topic. My story gives awareness about gender inequality and how it affects women in creative way….

I stare out my bedroom window, gloomily looking ahead. I sigh heavily with boredom. I feel locked up, with no freedom. I am desperate to get a job, to fulfil my dream. I see a man ride his yellow bicycle past my house, as I stupidly yell “Hey, do you know where I can get a job?”. The man stares at me angrily. He then warned me about how women didn’t receive jobs. He greedily rode away. I sprinted in the house, as night fell. Darkness, black,, trapped inside, struggling to breathe as I lose confidence. Wet tears escape my eyes, as my body burns with anger!

Two men ran in the airport, to afraid to be late for their flight to France. As the airport announced, flight F023, at gate 11 to France, the men ran faster. As the passengers boarded the plane, the men sprinted. As the plane started it’s engine, the men arrived. The two men fainted overwhelmed.

They started dreaming about what France would be like……… They became waiters at Le Chapon Fin, they served baguettes and croissant as delicious cakes followed after, yum! They were wearing posh, smart French clothes and holding two white napkins walking poshly through the hallways of the restaurant.

100 Word Challenge

I have decided that I want to post a 100 word challenge I did on the 30th of July. Through this story I was counting words, as well as making up story according to the photograph which is shown below:

The wind howled, Willow sprinted down the path looking ahead. Her clear and crystal blue eyes shone as she scanned the path. Her brunette hair wildly blew in time with the wind. Her brown bag was heavy, Willow was breathing hard, using up all her energy. Willow stopped about a metre away from a tree and looked ahead. The path was cracking. The path vanished behind her, that meant Willow’s past was behind her now. She couldn’t turn back. She looked ahead. This was her future now, she had to accept that. The wind stopped, Willow adventurously walked ahead.
